Rejected Bookings - Offer Caller the next available booking time

 

In our latest update, we have made the booking experience more convenient by introducing the "Next Available Booking Time" feature for dispatch systems that offer a validated booking API. This update provides the caller with an improved caller experience during your busy periods.

 

Please note, if "ride validation" is enabled on your portal, there is nothing you need to do to set this up!

 

How it works:

 

After we have received the pick-up location and time from the caller, before moving on with the booking, Flip automatically runs a validation check to confirm if the booking can be accepted by the dispatch system.

 

If the dispatch system rejects the booking, previously the call would either forward to an Operator or hangup (depending on your setup)

 

With our new update, Flip instead looks for the next available booking time slot and offer it to the caller. Flip will check for availability up to one hour from the requested booking time, if no pre-booking time is available within the next 60 minutes, we will transfer the call to an Operator or hangup (depending on your setup).

Flip: Hi Richard, thanks for calling Flip Taxis. To book a taxi for now, press 1. To prebook a taxi, press 2. For account bookings, press 3. for specialised vehicles, airport bookings and all other enquiries, press 4. To repeat this menu, press star.

 

Caller: Keypad press 1

 

Flip: Great. If the pickup location is: The Premier Inn, press 1. Otherwise, please say the pickup location and town for the car.

 

Caller: Keypad press: 1

 

Flip: The next available time we can pick you up is around 9:30 A.M.. To get picked up at this time instead, press 1. If this doesn't work for you, press 2.

 

Caller: Keypad press: 1

 

Flip: Thanks! I have scheduled your pre-booking for Today, at 9:30 A.M. from The Premier Inn. Goodbye, and see you later!

Additional User Permissions

Upon request, we have added 2 additional User Permissions to our portal that allow you to enable users only to access certain areas within the portal.

 

See our new permissions below:

  • Dispatcher: Permission only allows the user to access the Temporary Scheduling Blocker
  • Recordings: Permission only allows the user to access the Call by Call Analytics

Late Callouts - Now available on Curb and Smartmove

Exciting news! We can now offer Late Callouts on Curb and Smartmove dispatch.
