In our latest update, we have made the booking experience more convenient by introducing the "Next Available Booking Time" feature for dispatch systems that offer a validated booking API. This update provides the caller with an improved caller experience during your busy periods.
Please note, if "ride validation" is enabled on your portal, there is nothing you need to do to set this up!
How it works:
After we have received the pick-up location and time from the caller, before moving on with the booking, Flip automatically runs a validation check to confirm if the booking can be accepted by the dispatch system.
If the dispatch system rejects the booking, previously the call would either forward to an Operator or hangup (depending on your setup)
With our new update, Flip instead looks for the next available booking time slot and offer it to the caller. Flip will check for availability up to one hour from the requested booking time, if no pre-booking time is available within the next 60 minutes, we will transfer the call to an Operator or hangup (depending on your setup).
